another post about ariela

This is another post about my sister, Ariela. I like posting about her. She’s so beautiful inside and out and I admire her so much.

When you grow up in a broken home, you’ve got to rely on your sister, you know? We’re best friends ’til the day we die. Seriously. She doesn’t believe in marriage but when I get married, she will be my maid of honor. For sure.

Ariela is a senior in high school and currently applying to college. She wants to be an artist. A painter. So a lot of her application process consists of creating a portfolio. She recently painted a pop-art-ish painting of me to add to her portfolio. It’s awesome but she doesn’t want me to post it online just yet.

I can’t wait to show you guys.

She’s amazing and I love her and she means the world to me.

an (incomplete) recap in pictures

(5)

(1) A Beast ride with views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the new World Trade Center, and other New York City landmarks.

(2) A (way too long and very very interesting) train ride to the Jersey Shore. Interesting because this man (who legitimately looked like he could pull a knife on me) decided it was his duty to be the DJ for the entire train and kept playing music from his phone (no headphones!) at full volume. RUDE. I have no idea what the songs were about, but one of them kept saying HOLLABACK! I don’t think my description can do the situation justice (and here I thought I was a good writer).

(3) Seaside Heights, as seen on MTV’s incredibly classy and educational show, Jersey Shore.

(4) Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. The view was incredible!

(5) Baked By Melissa cupcakes. Baby cupcakes = love. Look at how happy my sister looks! We love little things. And we love cupcakes.

Besides all the events pictured above, we went to the midnight Harry Potter premiere (I am a huge fan of the books; the movies are okay. But now I want to read the series all over again. When I was younger I was one of those Harry Potter freaks that went on websites like mugglenet.com all the time. Yep. Awkward confession). I’ve also been through a bit of a roller coaster with a friend (ex-friend?). Whatever. I don’t want to talk about it and I’m glad it’s just me and my sister now.

So sorry I went MIA for a while! I’ll comment on all your blogs as soon as I can.

if it weren’t for these two…(plus dad)

I wish I had a normal family life. I wish I hadn’t cried so much in the 24 hours I’ve been home. I wish things were better. I wish my mom told me since I was a little girl that I am beautiful.

But I don’t have any of those things. What I do have is my sister, dog and my dad. And I’m so thankful for them. I love them forever.

Thanks for holding me when I hurt.
