halloween

Yes? Sort of?

So I’m not exactly the life of the party these days (I have Crohn’s and a cold). But I did get dressed up for Halloween because, well, it IS Halloween, and you just have to celebrate the best holiday of the year. Even if your tummy is practically crying for dear life…

p.s. I love my friends Julie and Tapper.

p.p.s. Twiggy is probably my favorite thing I’ve ever been. Except two years ago, when I was a hippie freshman year. That was pretty sweet.

Halloween freshman year totally reminds me of Mike. Ah. Young love.

On the agenda for today: (1) get out of bed (it’s COLD) (2) buy sweaters (it’s COLD) (3) go to the gym (4) buy this really awesome tie-dye shirt at the bookstore (I may have a shopping problem) (5) dress up as Twiggy for Halloween (!) (and try my hardest not to drink tonight because that ain’t doing my Crohn’s any favors if you know what I mean…)

I’ll be recreating this look…

p.s. I may or may not be going to Saint Petersburg next summer. Katie! (Looks like Moscow is far away, though…)

pumpkins (let me preface this by saying i hate pumpkins)

I carved my first ever pumpkin today. And I didn’t cut myself kill myself. My finger is bleeding.

I’m going to get so much hate mail for this, but I hate pumpkins. The smell and the taste. Ick.

But carving pumpkins is such a fall thing to do, so I had to do it. Because fall is my favorite season ever.

Also, I decided I will be Twiggy for Halloween. A much less skinny Twiggy. Because no one on this Earth is as skinny as Twiggy.

(1) Mike came to visit this weekend. He’s amazing. Period. Our two year anniversary is so so soon! Who would’ve thought, you know? I have a few surprises planned for the kid but I won’t say anything here in case he reads…

(2) At the risk of sounding totally gross, there’s something really wrong with my stomach. In the past month, I’ve lost almost 10 lbs (which is a lot on someone who’s already small like me) and around three pant sizes. Without even trying. And my stomach is upset and hurts so bad all the time. I hope I can get to the bottom of this soon because if I keep it up I will start to look really too thin…

(3) I’m already stressing out about summer internships. Overachiever, much?

(4) I found the perfect dress for my anniversary down on Marshall Street. It’s totally vintage-meets-bombshell. I should buy it tomorrow.

(5) I can’t wait for Halloween. I think I’m going to be an Egyptian pharaoh (or whatever the female equivalent to it is) or something. I found these AWESOME eye of Horus masks on etsy. And I just really want them for Halloween.

(6) It’s already October!? Not that I’m complaining in the slightest; I love fall.

(7) Brookstone blankets have got to be the comfiest, softest, warmest thing ever. Which is perfect, especially when it gets cold outside…

(8) I’m kind of obsessed with the movie Sybil. And so are my roommate and our neighbor. Who recommended it to me again? It was a blog reader.

(9) I’m tired. Off to bed I go.
